Pontoons and ferro-concrete floating moorings

Creation of stationary sea berth structures is a complex and labour-consuming task. This problem is solved successfully by means of ferro-concrete moorings. Possibility of fast installation at a shore minimally equipped is an important feature of floating moorings.

The floating ferro-concrete moorings are designed for installation in river, lake, and sea basins with various climatic conditions, in wave-protected water areas with depths up to 100 meters and water level fluctuations up to 6 m. The moorings can accomodate large marine vessels with displacement up to 60 thousand tons and enable loading and unloading. The moorings consist of 3 or 4 pontoons with hinged connections among themselves and with a steel bridge connecting to the coast. The sizes and loading capacity of ferro-concrete pontoons may vary according to the customer's request.

Advantages of concrete pontoons:

  • constant elevation independent from fluctuations of water level;
  • combination of massiveness and buoyancy;
  • possibility to create a waterscape of any configuration in compliance with water area and the customer's wishes;
  • economic feasibility plus reliability and comfort;
  • possibility of changing the waterscape configuration and the number of places for mooring;
  • environmental faultlessness;

The concrete pontoons are made in high-quality concrete with a special filling consolidated with reinforced metal. All external steel parts undergo deep hot galvanizing. The concrete pontoons are fastened to the bottom by anchors with chains. They are connected between themselves with high-strength flexible fastenings and have incorporated cable channels for electric cables and pipelines. Vessels may moor both directly to the pontoons and to perpendicular berthing "fingers" of various sizes, which allows to organize berthing in an optimum way.

These moorings can be also used as a basement to construct and install: parking places, hotels, restaurants, business centers, etc.
